Abstract

It is sought to understand the spatial distribution of prehispanic groups in the
Guadiana Valley, Durango, this by analyzing the location of their settlements in
function of their horizontal and vertical stratigraphy, intervisbilization, as well
as the analysis of the ceramic and lytic. It is carried out under the perspective
that societies develop unique strategies of appropriation of the landscape. In
our case it was possible to define a semi dispersed pattern of a group of sites,
grouping what was weighed were different settlements and defining some
patterns of location that can undergo revision for the Chalchihuites culture.
